Change Practitioner

Reports to: Change Management Deployment Leader

Job Overview:

As the Change Practitioner on this Enterprise project, you will play a critical role within the Change Management team, focusing on the people side of change during this high profile significant transformation initiative in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for enabling employees to adopt and utilize changes effectively, ensuring that the organization achieves its desired outcomes. You will work closely with the Change Management Deployment Leader and other team members to implement strategies that drive successful change adoption.

This role is essential for ensuring that employees are equipped and supported throughout the transformation process, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the change initiative and the organization’s strategic goals.

Supervision:

The Change Practitioner will report to the Change Management Deployment Leader and will collaborate with the project team, including the PM-CM SME, Business Analyst and Change Champion Network Manager. While this role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, you will:

  • Support Team Members: Provide guidance and support to other team members in executing Change Management activities and strategies.

  • Facilitate Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment by engaging with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding of change initiatives.

  • Act as a Resource: Serve as a go-to resource for change-related questions and concerns, assisting team members in overcoming challenges related to change adoption.

     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Change Management StrategiesCreate and implement tailored Change Management plans that address the specific needs of employees impacted by the transformation.

  • Conduct Impact Assessments: Evaluate the effects of change initiatives on various stakeholders, identifying potential barriers to adoption and strategies to overcome them.

  • Engage Stakeholders: Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels to gather feedback, address concerns, and foster buy-in for change initiatives.

  • Facilitate Training and Communication: Design and deliver workshops and programs and communication materials that inform and prepare employees for upcoming changes, ensuring clarity and understanding.

  • Support Change Adoption: Coach and support employees in their roles during the change process, helping them navigate challenges and embrace new ways of working.

  • Monitor Change Progress: Track the effectiveness of Change Management activities, gathering data on adoption rates, user proficiency, and overall impact on the organization.

  • Manage Resistance: Identify and address resistance to change by employing strategies that engage employees, alleviate concerns, and promote a positive outlook on the transformation.

     

Technical Responsibilities Related to Culture Transformation:

  • Assess Organizational Culture: Analyze the current organizational culture and identify areas that may need to shift to support the desired changes effectively.

  • Design Culture Change Initiatives: Collaborate with the Change Management Deployment Leader to develop initiatives that align the organizational culture with new values and behaviors.

  • Facilitate Workshops: Conduct workshops and focus groups to engage employees in discussions about culture transformation, gathering insights and input to inform strategies.

  • Support Leadership in Culture Change: Work with leaders to help them understand their role in modeling and promoting the desired culture, providing coaching and resources as needed.

  • Evaluate Culture Change Impact: Monitor the progress of culture transformation efforts, assessing their effectiveness and adjusting based on feedback and results.

 

Qualifications:

  • EducationBachelor’s degree in business administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage.

  • Certifications: Prosci Change Management Certification is a must. Project Management Certification is an added advantage.

  • Experience

    • 3-5 years of experience in Change Management using the Prosci Methodologies, Tools & Resources, on large-scale transformation initiatives, preferably in a multinational and multi-cultural environment.

    • Recent work experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

    • Proven track record of successfully leading culture transformation initiatives in complex organizations.

  • Skills

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

    • Proficient in Change Management methodologies and tools, with a solid understanding of Project Management principles.

    • Excellent analytical skills for conducting impact assessments and identifying barriers to change.

    • Ability to design and deliver effective training/workshop and communication materials tailored to diverse audiences.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges related to change adoption.

  • Cultural Competence: Familiarity with the Saudi Arabia business environment and specific cultural nuances is a must, enabling effective interaction with diverse teams and stakeholders and adapting & aligning Change Management and culture transformation approaches with local cultural contexts and sensitivities.

  • Communication & Organizational skills

    • Native Arabic Language speaker with English language - both written and verbal proficiency.

    • Excellent active listening skills with ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.

    • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.

    • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations with a propensity to persevere with resilience and tenacity.

    • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics. Being forward-looking with a holistic approach to problem-solving and root cause identification skills.
